The CJC is seeking applications for funding to prevent or reduce crime and violence, with a particular focus on gun violence and the programs and initiatives that target the risk factors that are likely to lead to this kind of violence. This includes implementing, expanding, and improving the awareness, understanding and utilization of the Extreme Risk Protection Order law. Grantee eligibility Category 1: Applicants are limited to state agencies, private schools, and community nonprofit organizations throughout the State of Delaware to develop and implement projects that focus on crisis-intervention and prevention. The total amount available is $220,500. The CJC anticipates making several awards of varying dollar amounts.
Grantee eligibility Category 2: Applicants are limited to public school districts (K-12) and charter schools throughout the State of Delaware to develop and implement projects that focus on crisis-intervention and prevention. The total amount available is $350,000.00. The CJC anticipates making several awards.
Grantee eligibility Category 3: Applicants are limited to local governments, including cities, towns, or certain federally recognized tribes throughout the State of Delaware to develop and implement projects that focus on crisis-intervention and prevention. The total amount available is $478,806. The CJC anticipates making several awards of varying dollar amounts.
Grantee eligibility Category 4: Less than $10,000 jurisdictions, including law enforcement agencies throughout the State of Delaware to develop and implement projects that focus on crisis-intervention and prevention. The total amount available is $58,707. The CJC anticipates making several awards of varying dollar amounts.
Depending on the number and type of concepts submitted per category, CJC has flexibility and may determine the concept is appropriate for another category.
